THE NGN IS A CUSTOM BUILT DATA NETWORK. NGN ALLOWS US TO TAKE CONTROL OF THE FINISHED PRODUCTS AND SERVICES THAT WE PROVIDE AS WELL AS A PLATFORM FOR FUTURE PRODUCTS AND SERVICES.
The network has a highly redundant and resilient design, built into Australia’s premier Tier III Data Centre provider; Next DC. Initially we have built Points of Presence in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth with the intention to expand our presence in the near future.
We have built redundancy into each data centre – Multiple Routers and Multiple Switches. From each data centre we have built carrier diverse fibre paths to each other data centre. Our Transit providers – the people that connect us to the world are diverse. In fact our network is the most “Connected” network in Australia. We have built direct aggregations into all major Tier 1 carriers – Telstra, Optus, AAPT and Vocus (AMCOM). We have built integrations into NBN and Tier 2 players such as Bigair, OptiCom and LBN Co.
Why have we built NGN?
The NGN will serve as a purpose built platform for all of our future products and services.
In the coming years the Telecommunications market will grow in one or more ways:
Faster and more universally available Internet Access
NGN allows us to deliver a huge range of Internet Services from a range of carriers.
NGN allows us to provide converged Voice and Data networks. The ability to provide a MPLS and everyday BAU (Private Network) across multiple carriers.
Prevalence of Cloud Services
NGN allows us to provide Cloud Products and services such as Cloud PABX, Cloud Office – Desktop as a Service (DaaS), Managed Firewall, Cloud Storage (deliver these services privately) and more.
NGN allows us to provide an instant connection to B2B applications that businesses across the world rely on. E.g. MYOB Cloud Accounting, SalesForce, Microsoft Office 365, Xero Accounting, Google Apps and more.
Over time, NGN will enable us to deliver a platform of application services, hosted across the network.
